Community Classroom was created from a simple belief: some of the most meaningful learning happens when we step outside our homes, connect with others, and experience the world firsthand.

As a longtime homeschool mom, I have homeschooled all five of my children and have now graduated four of them from high school. Along the way, one of the things I became most passionate about was helping my kids discover their interests, explore possible careers, and find opportunities to learn through real-world experiences.

I also discovered just how valuable our homeschool community can be when we share what we know.

That is the heart behind Community Classroom.

This site is designed to be a gathering place for homeschool families to find and share local opportunities—field trips, classes, service opportunities, job shadowing, career exploration, and other experiences that help bring learning to life.

Building a Community Classroom

Community Classroom isn't meant to be something created by one person. The hope is that it grows through the knowledge, connections, talents, and ideas of the families, businesses, professionals, organizations, and educators in our community.
